4th Annual MLK Day of Service 2014

Minimize
MLK Day of Service
Making a day off a day on to serve others and honor Dr. Martin Luther King's legacy

ONLINE REGISTRATION FOR THE MLK DAY OF SERVICE IS NOW CLOSED. YOU MAY REGISTER AS A WALK-IN ON MONDAY MORNING AT 8AM AT BAKER CHAPEL A.M.E. CHURCH AT 1050 HUMBOLT IN FORT WORTH.

Monday, January 20, 2014

8:00 - Day Begins with Sign-In at
Baker Chapel A.M.E. Church
1050 Humbolt Street
Fort Worth, TX  76104

1:00 - Day Ends with a no-cost lunch at
Broadway Baptist Church
305 W. Broadway
Fort Worth, TX  76014

A couple of hours on one day can make a HUGE difference in the lives of individuals and families served by organizations across Tarrant County. Just a couple of hours in the Opening Doors for Women in Need garden can provide fresh produce for Mr. and Mrs. Tucker, elderly home-bound residents of Como. Just a couple of hours at the Community Food Bank can mean the difference between the Abbot family eating a healthy meal or going without. Just a couple of hours working for Helping Restore Ability can give Ms. Smith trimmed hedges and trees, and flower beds and lawn that are clean and pretty. Just a couple of hours at the Union Gospel Mission can help keep the donation warehouse organized and provide residents with a hot lunch.

Can you give just a couple of hours to help in these and so many other ways? We're sure there's some way you will want to get involved in making MLK Day 2014 a day on not a day off!
